Tomato Quinoa Salad

A vibrant Armenian bulgur salad—here made with quinoa—cooked with fragrant tomato sauce and caramelized onions, and finished with fresh parsley. Serve with romaine lettuce.

This is one of my favorite summer dishes. It can be enjoyed warm or straight from the refrigerator on a hot day. In this version, quinoa replaces the traditional bulgur, creating a light and fluffy eech that’s perfect as a side dish or a meal on its own. Paired with crisp romaine lettuce for scooping, it’s refreshing, satisfying, and always a favorite at the table.

Hope chopping herbs in her kitchen

Hi, I’m Hope, an Armenian American developer located in the Boston area.

When I’m not building things online or exploring the outdoors, I love cooking and baking. I come from a lineage shaped by survival and migration. My great-grandmother survived the Armenian Genocide, and my mother immigrated to the United States as a child from Lebanon. Armenian, Lebanese, and broader Middle Eastern cuisine isn’t just part of my heritage; it’s woven into my earliest memories and is something I feel deeply responsible to preserve.

Every recipe on this blog is tested in my own kitchen. Nothing is published until it’s been cooked, tasted, adjusted, and made again. These are the dishes I actually cook for the people I love most.

Sehr means “love” in Armenian. That’s the heart of this project: to share that love, one recipe at a time.
